For me, ObamaCare is a lie

October 10, 2013
We read a lot of verbiage about ObamaCare. Most think it is bad. Many believe it will wreck our economy. Still others fear it will bankrupt the government. But many of those things have seemed very abstract. Before today.

Today I went to the drug store to renew two prescriptions I take for high blood pressure. The amount I had to paid out of pocket today was three times what it was the last time those prescriptions were filled. And that's just for two. I take eight different "essential" medications the doctors say my life depends on. I can't afford to pay three times as much. Something's got to give.

Yet I talked to friends recently who sincerely believe "ObamaCare" means we all have free health care.

The Civitas Institute just published a story about a mother with two chronically ill children who has also faced a tripling of their medication bills, but the total amount in her case is much more. Click here to go to the original source to read the rest of the story.

JT I disagree with you politically but pray you don't get sick and have to use your cheap insurance. If you do you will be amazed at what you deductibles and co-pays will be.

Where does the great fiction end?
    October 15, 2013 | 07:17 AM

After years of funding Medicare D and now ObamaCare, today's young working families will need to make numerous choices over what they cannot afford for their own lives because their tax dollars have been taken by politicians and spent on the programs that buy the votes of seniors and people who chose not to pay their own way.

Every dollar we receive from our government is a dollar taken from our neighbors. The idea that we deserve to benefit from forcing others to spend their earnings to fund our lives needs to stop. By forcing others to satisfy our needs, we become a culture based on exploittation of the work of others...endentured service.

Predictably, there is never enough of what we want others to do for us. We always want more from our neighbors. This results in more laws, more dependency and less for Americans in the future.

"Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else." Frederic Bastiat
