We posted several articles about the danger ethanol presents to our gasoline engines, particularly small two-cycle engines, but also to older automobile and truck engines. Well, yet another study, this time by the American Petroleum Institute, has confirmed the damage E15 ethanol causes to some engines. This study confirms what we posted from earlier studies that E10 does not appear to cause significant damage, but even that is not for sure. What is certain is that if you use E15, even a tank full you may be in store for some expensive repair bills. Click here to read the story.
We'd like to be able to advise you where to send those bills, but we can't find out. Maybe 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, D. C.
